NextMUN is a non-profit platform for finding and running Model UN conferences. These terms cover everyone who uses it, and there is a section that applies only to organisers.
In effect from 9 September 2026
NextMUN is a listing and registration platform built and run by Saad Alarifi. It lets organisers publish a conference and collect applications, and lets delegates find conferences and apply to them.
NextMUN does not run conferences. Every conference on the platform is organised, staffed, funded and delivered by an independent organiser. We are not their agent, partner or employer.
There is no charge to use NextMUN, no advertising, no paid promotion and no commission on anything. Promotion of a conference is granted by a platform administrator on merit and cannot be bought.
You need an account to apply to a conference or to organise one. You must give a real name and a working email address, and you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf.
You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think somebody else has it.
One person, one account. Accounts are not transferable.
When you apply, the answers you give are sent to that conference's organisers. They decide who is accepted. NextMUN does not influence, review or override those decisions.
An application is a request, not a place. Being accepted may require you to pay a fee set by the organiser, within the window they set.
Anything you claim in an application should be true. Organisers rely on it, and a conference may withdraw a place if it was not.
Anyone may create a conference. It stays a private draft until you submit it and a platform administrator approves it. An organiser runs one conference at a time. Finish or cancel the one you have before starting another.
Before a conference is listed you must upload an event license and a commercial registration. We check that the paperwork exists. That check is not an endorsement, an audit, or advice, and it does not transfer any responsibility for your event to us.
You are responsible for delivering the conference you advertised: the dates, the venue, the committees, the schedule and the experience. If you cannot, you must tell your applicants promptly.
This is the clause every organiser accepts before they can connect a payment account. It was last changed on 2026-09-09.
By organizing a MUN through NextMUN, you agree that you are solely responsible for all funds, payments, and refunds relating to your event. NextMUN and Saad Alarifi act only as a listing and registration platform, hold no funds on your behalf, and accept no liability for your event or its finances.
In practice that means the following.
Applicants: when you pay a conference fee, you are paying that organiser directly, into their merchant account. NextMUN never receives, holds or forwards your money. If something goes wrong with a payment or a refund, your counterparty is the organiser. You can still report them to us, and we will act on the listing, but we cannot return your money.
Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, hateful, or that impersonates somebody else. Do not use NextMUN to harvest personal data, to spam, or to run anything that is not a genuine Model UN conference.
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it you allow us to store and display it as needed to run the platform.
NextMUN sets no dress code and no code of conduct for your conference. If you publish your own, you are responsible for enforcing it.
We may remove a listing, suspend an organiser or close an account if these terms are broken, if a conference appears not to be genuine, or if applicants are being harmed.
We will normally explain why. We may act first and explain afterwards where people's money or safety is at stake.
Removing a listing does not settle anything financial between an organiser and their applicants. That remains entirely between them.
NextMUN is provided as it is, without warranty. To the fullest extent the law allows, Saad Alarifi and NextMUN are not liable for any loss arising from a conference listed here, from an organiser's conduct, or from any payment, non-payment or refund between an organiser and an applicant.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these terms. The finance clause above is versioned, and an organiser's acceptance is recorded against the version they actually saw, so a later rewrite is never applied backwards to somebody who agreed to different wording.
If we change something materially, we will say so on the platform.
Questions about these terms go to saadalarifi@nextmun.org. For how we handle your data, read the Privacy Policy.
